Unhappy lowering a eg coupe

Hey everybody i'm a complete noob to hondas lol. I just picked up a clean 93 eg coupe and it's lowered on nuespeed lowering spings on stock struts but the drivers side is lower then the passengers side it's kinda wierd i was thinking what should i do? if i get coilovers would i need to get a camber kit for the car it would be a decent drop so i need some input. the bottom line is if i get coilovers what else would i need so my alignment is straight once the car is lowered? thanks in advance

Well if you lower any car you should get camber kits that way you can get your wheels in factory spec and not kill your tires.

How much lower is the drivers side? If its only slight, thats fairly normal. Most of the weight is on the drivers side (engine and the driver).

A decent set of coilovers will run you about $1000 plus another few hundred for camber kits.

hm, i would not recommend getting coilovers. you always have to re-adjust them and over winter the thread on the coilover will get messed up. also you are dipping on the driver side probably since you got stock struts on drop springs. as far as i know stock struts hate lowering springs.
i'd recommend getting a decent set of springs+struts. i got myself KYB-AGX struts and Tein S-Tech lowering springs with 1.9"/1.8" drop on my eg coupe. its awesome. does not rub and feels perfect.

thanks for the input guys but i've been doing some research on coilovers for hondas specailly eg civics and integras since they are the same chassis i'm gonna go with coilovers because i will be adjusting my height and winter wont be a problem since i'm going to store my car. but here is another noob question i will prob need a camber kit if i'm going to got fairly low meaning 195/60/14 which will almost be tucked. so the question is will i need a camber kit for both front and rear to avoid the negative camber?

If you are near tucking you will probably need a kit for both ends

Stock shocks + drop springs = bad combo
Get some aftermarket shocks, like KYB... Koni's... and you'll see a huge difference.

As for the guy who said to not buy coilovers... If you got $1000+ to spend on a full coilover setup, and you're worried about what winter will do to the threads, suck it up and buy a beater lol

i'm going with the coilovers i'm going with the omni power drag coilovers they are stiffer so riding at a lower setting wont be a problem and for the winter i don't care cause i'm storing the car to keep her mint. now i just need to get a camber kit since some of you guys are saying i will need one.

why do you want coilovers if you're planning to store it for the winter? just get proper shocks, and proper springs for the drop you like.

Im picking up a set of the F2 full coilovers.

Omni Powers... id kinda steer away from those. Remember those recalls they had about them snapping in half?? bad idea. Even tho the 2nd version came out, i still wouldnt trust it.

Some friends are running PICs, and theyre stiff as hell. Very handy in the corners and whatnot. Literally the only movement you see if from the tires compressing on bumps lol theyre that stiff.

It really depends what you want to get into, if you want adjustabilty, stiffness, what kinda driving are you going to be doing... if the car will see the track or be a hard parker... and of course, how much $$$ you got rolling around to dish out

I wouldn't recommend PICs. way too stiff for dd. and the dampers suck, and not enought travel.

easy for you to say, i dont have a lot of money to spend on a beater. since then i have to get storage. i have to pay for school, parking and still got few things to repair on current car. i work part time so yeah. not everybody can afford it, even though you can pick up a cheap beater, since you still want to put some winter tires on it and then it starts.

anyways back to the topic. i've been in my buddys car with koni coilovers, and did not really like the ride. a little bit too stiff for me but yet he loves it. i set by kyb's to hardest dampering level, and im loving it. also since you are storing your car, why would you need to adjust the height on it? just curious.
IMO its a personal thing, whether you like a really stiff ride or not. also depends if it will be a daily driver or track. or bit of both.

i'm not storing my car now i'm still gonna be driving it it's just i will be storing it once the salt goes on the roads so the coilovers will not be damaged. I will be daily driving it most of the time and i'll do some aggressive driving i mean cornering track for sure i'm getting a good deal on some omni's so i can't let it go by cause i'm in school working part time and i don't have 1000+ to spend on coils plus a camber kit sorry just can't do it. lol
