Help with lowering springs

Anyone wanna give me a hand to tackle this? Honestly, I am more than capable of doing it myself, but the rear shock bolt I cannot get off. I tried with my shitty impact, but wouldn't budge. Anyone willing to help me with the rears I can throw you some cash.

Thanks

Not that im available.. but which bolt? the one underneath that hooks to the LCA?

That one might need more than another set of hands. The bushings on those are prone to sieze up and lock the bolt to the lca real good. i mean REAL good. Mine were siezed in so tight, we tried to hack it out wth a saw, and it didnt budge, so we just took out the shock assy attached to the LCA (i got replacement aftermarket lcas that come with poly bushings.

Many ppl will just burn that one out and replace the bushings with polyurathane ones. Or just replace the LCAs. You could always try some liquid wrench too, but if the bushing is siezed to the bolt ur best bet is to torch it out.

Good luck!

The bolt that holds the rear shock in place, connected to the lca. I'm sure it will come off, I just dont have the tools to do it I suppose. Any shops in scarborough one can recommend for me.

Thank you

get a wrench and a pipe. give that a shot. the longer the pipe the easier it is to turn it

both of mine broke clean off(the nut side snapped off and the head side snapped off. Your best bet is to spray the **** out of it with penetrating oil (liquid wrench), give it a few hours, spray it again, wait a few hours, spray it again, ect. Just keep doing that for as long as you can wait, then try with a wrench/ratchet and a long pipe.

^^ u can break ur ratchet that way. use a breakerbar or a wrench (cheaper if u break that)

If this snaps ur bolt though... it's hammertime with a chisel and torch.

I've never broken a ratchet while using a pipe. Unless its really tight, that's when I put a pipe on my breakerbar. (transmission mount, 3ft breakerbar w/4ft pipe)
Unless OP uses job mate or crappy mastercraft tools, all ratchets should hold up no problem.

My crappy mastercraft tools make it through a LOT of touch punishment. Ive broken about 4 ratchets and 3 sockets in the last 6 years. Every time i go into crappy tire they replace them immediately with no questions.
