clicking when turning right

hi all

lately when im making a right turn at about 20km, i hear a clicking sound that is coming from the rear passenger side...it increases as i am going faster. The wheel has to be turned almost 90 degrees to the right from standstill straight position for the noise to be evident...when i am on an on ramp or off ramp and the speed is higher the clicking speed increases. There is nothingcoming from the left side

what do you guys think it could be?

thanks

car is a 1998 civic hatch

Check your lug nuts to make sure they are all torqued (should be around 100ft-lbs).

Are your rear brakes drum and has you car sat for any length of time recently?

Also, how old are your tires? It could be uneven tire wear on the inner shoulder. Is your car lowered at all?

i've read over this a few times and am getting confused. its a rear pass tire area where you are getting the noise, but you say when the wheel is turned 90degrees you get the noise more.
what do you mean turn the wheel. its a rear wheel.

I wonder if maybe the noise just sounds like its coming from the rear? seems to me more like a torn boot. but if it is the rear I bet there is rust or something on the drum/backing plate and it's only rubbing hard enough he can hear it under load.

When was this serviced last? Here's a list of previous experiences when it comes to noises from a wheel area.

-Wheel bearing gone - gave sounds of clicking/grinding
-cv shaft - same noises
-a random loose bolt (yes thats happened) - same noises

I could help you replace those if you want or even show you. Its really not hard opening it up.

Go in a parking lot, do a tight right hand donut accelerate as hard as you can. If you hear rapid clunking, its your axle.
