cant adjust coilover

cant adjust coilover

i tried to raise my suspension. I had 3 of them raised. the fourth coilover i cant unlock to turn it. anyone have any tricks to get it moving????????

try a product called "fluidfilm". i used that to help my somewhat seized coilover to raise to lower

i wouldnt use fluid film id use something like wd40 and blast the sucker and let it soak in over night and see if it cracks open next day, if that doesnt work just repeat until the coilovers crack lose.

remove those junk sleeves and get something proper...and if u do get coilovers again use some anti-seize on the threads

Honestly ive been working with all of them and there all the same. I guess its more a preference of whats cheaper or what seems to work better for yourself. Another thing you can do to get them to twist open is grab a flat head and a hammer and hammer the adjuster ring in the direction it is to spin free, you can also try to heat the sleeve itself. next time use some ANTI SEIZE like posted above!!

If you actually plan on heating the sleeve I have to say do it at your own risk. The shock absorber is right behind the sleeve, so either protect it with something that will deflect the heat or heat the sleeve quickly as to not heat up the shock absorber.
