Ball joint issues?!
hey guys, so here is my issue. I have a 00 civic si swapped to a B18C. now i had a wheel bearing going as well as a ball joint. had them replaced a couple weeks ago and as i took the car out today i heard the bump/knocking from that wheel that had work done to it. the mechanic knows it swapped but i don;t understand why it would go so fast again. the only thing i can think of is maybe since i have gsr axles and and such and maybe i got the wrong ball joint?! i didn;t think i needed a new bearing but he says that was the main problem. i had mild top to bottom play in the wheel and some play side to side. help my out guys!

Having different axles does not affect what ball joints you put in.
Check if the boot is not ripped. The mechanic may have messed up the install. Also make sure the cotter pin is in and if it doesn't use a cotter pin make sure the nut is tight.
I don't see how a balljoint could go bad. It may be some other issue, such as a bad axle. Check for wheel play again, it could also have a bad tie rod end.
