02 Si EM2 lowering

I'm thinking of dropping my 02 si 1.5-2" front and rear. Will stock shocks hold. As it stands my wheel gap is like 3-3.5" so I'm assuming the load wont be too much. Anyone done this before or know if I'll be alright?

no. 01~03 OEM dampners are PRONE to leaking. some even after 100k of use. (OEM)

just buy tokiko blues, lowers up to 1.8 inches i think.

i sold a neuspeed & tokiko setup a coulpe months back for $300. it lowered 1.75 fr, 1.5 rr

i thought i posted on this thread. oh well. im on tien s comps right now stock shocks
over 70,000 miles lowered no problems.

lowers 1.4 in the front 1.5 in the back. I would sell you the springs for cheap but i gave my stock springs to someone thinking i would get his coilovers but im selling my car and he took off with my springs. so... sorry but tiens are great.

Koni reds are better then Tokico blues.

Get whichever is cheaper. And I wouldn't lower anymore then an inch. These cars have a terrible suspension geometry and bumpsteer like mad when dropped more then 1.5"

I would only use two shock companies.

1) Koni (yellow and red are both good, just yellow are more conv. when adjusting..both have LIFETIME WARRANTY )
2) Tein ( If you want to go full coil-over )

P.S. I would stay away from Tokico & KYB!!! Esp. KYB!!!!
