It doesn't matter what camera you get. It's how well you use it.

xray 31-Mar-2008 06:16 PM

^Well said. Now really, what camera do you own?

spike 31-Mar-2008 06:27 PM

I have a D40

Trybal 31-Mar-2008 08:45 PM

Canon Rebel 300D here...though Nikons are vary nice for the pro...so it's either one or the other

as for the response of 'it's how you use it' ...it's what you're using it for
point & shoot cams have a manual setting, though they don't have the SLR shutters speed of 1/4000 and large selections of D-SLR lenses

if i had 4g's to spend on a lens, then it would be that big white lens in the pic..or a macro w/flash and fisheye lens w/flash

They don't let "that kind" into the stadium. No white lens, stay outside.

once you go black, you never go back...so canon users have just never had a nikon

You can always tell the guys that haven't used a big one...

LOL
All kidding aside.

A great camera can't help with composition and posing, lighting and such.
Only a photographer can make a "technically beautiful" photograph, the camera has nothing to do with it.

That's because we've already had the best. Why step down a level? :P

I remember once a guy kept telling me "great camera" after seeying my photos. and i told him that the camera is just a tool. just like a painter or writer. The pen and brush never gets the credit. why should they.

If you go to any forum that has the canon v.s nikon is never point and shoot v.s DSLR. or film. I was sticking to the topic.

When choosing lens you gotta know what you shooting most of the time to buy one. And best thing to do is rent then buy.

I have the 70-200L lens is pretty neat. this are some examples.
taken with that lens using the Rebel D300 before i sold the camera. but i kept the lens.

F4 the 2:8 is not for me. I use the L 85mm the most.

The images above were shot in RAW and very little were done to them. i don't know where u get the "heavy ps" from. or want me to proof to you.

But sure if you wanna see one off the camera. with a PINCH of photoshop here ya go.

I've been wanting for a while now to go down to that parking lot on Bloor st, in the first picture. The fox is the sickest part. Exactly as I would of shot it.

I meant to say photos out of the box without any post processing. To me, ur shots do look edited but that's besides the point. I may be buying the f4 l or f4l is in the near future.

I read the forums at dpreview
One guy's signature says:
Nice pen, you must be a great writer!

Same applies in photography.
