White Balance

White Balance
I tried to custom set my white balance tonight. I shot at a white piece of paper with a long exposure to make it as white as possible. But, when I set that picture to my custom white balance it made the following picture green. Any thoughts?
Its a Canon Rebel XT with Canon 55-250 IS
Thanks Guys!

You don't need a long exposure for it.
Put the camera on P
Set it to manual focus
get good light on the paper and set your WB to auto
make sure the frame is full of the paper
it doesn't need to be in focus
Snap the shot, open the menu and use that photo as CWB, then set your WB to custom and try that
ISO 100
Good light
Let us know if that works (you don't need a shutter speed slower than 1/60th, just good lighting)
