nah, D3 won't drop at all...totally different applications when ya think about it
ya, higher mp on this one but the iso has dropped off the map
it'd be a great studio/product camera, but doing weddings etc i'd much prefer the higher workable iso (6400) of the D3

nikon people will buy nikon, canon people will buy nikon...then there are "the other guys", these are the people that will sway one way or another...but when flagship models are released they arent made to take away from another since these people usually have thousands and thousands invested in branded glass

i'll handle both
i don't think they went wrong with the pricing..
the 3x isn't meant as a field cam (in most cases)..it's aimed at those guys that are dropping 30k+ on Hazzies and Mams
as i said above, the wedding/event guys are gonna stick with the 3 for its high usable iso
i should hopefully have mine by the end of March...the tv needed replacing first

thanx Spike..
not necessarily better pics, but higher rez than the D80s i was using and it opens up environments ya might say...
where i once was stuck using flash (which i've never been a fan of, unless using multiples) now i can just up the iso and bypass it....or if i'm still stuck using flash i can at least minimize the juice needed and the flashes last a lot longer
