That's pretty sweet! My 2GB CF Extreme III was close to $60 tax in.

I've been using lexar for years now...and so far its good, it will get a thorough workout in cuba in a couple weeks tho

the lightsphere was 45bucks...its great, lights up a whole room, softens shadows, diffuses the flash so its not as harsh, its a valuable tool to have. I will be purchasing the opaque version shortly for even softer light

I haven't seen a significant drop in prices for DSLR cameras since last year. I thought it might just like those plasma and HD TVs.

the sony alpha is 499 I believe too...I havent paid attention to entry level dslrs in forever I just know the one I want costs too damn much and mine is still worth a good chunk
