thats what they call it since the "ambient lighting" is romantic to couples that happen to be taking a nightly stroll across the bridge...the real name of the bridge is the west montrose covered bridge

i'll probably be braving it this year, want to shoot as much as i can and practice in all the elements. if you ever want to meet up just let me know bro.

here's one on the way to the Driftops VIP drift day @ shannonville
@ 1/15, F/7.1, ISO 400, free hand.
really happy with this one as it was a first attempt, and no editing was required except for resize + watermark.

^^ yeah 1/15 seems kinda slow but i guess fair amount of natural light, 400 ISO plus a bit of a wide angle there may have helped getting a clear shot. although i am not sure how the cam would pick 1/15 if your aperture was at 7.1 (should be much higher)...or perhaps you were shooting in manual or shutter priority mode.

nontheless....good shot there kev.

1/15 i'd expect a lot more background blur, no?
that's a lot of time at 60 mph

nice shots guys!!

i had it on shutter priority, and we were cruising at about 125km/h on the 401. didn't burst it, just tried to stay still while hanging out the window :P

i think background blur would be more dependent upon aperture and focal length rather than shutter speed marty

^^ thanks guys

matt....yeah i notice that but i didnt think of anything else but the red color of the leaf at the time i focused and took the shot. i guess if it was in focus...it might have taken some attention away from the centered subject you know.
