My pictures are all too large to post and I don' want to resize them ha ha!

But I saw a muskrat, rabbit, ducks, birds, squirrels and yesterday at the zoo I saw lots and lots of animals =D

i am on my way to get a 50mm 1.8af lens, i will then go on a walk....

^^ 50mm is not the lens to use when on a walk tho mr leitner :-)

why not?

it's good for landscapes (since you're on a walk anyway, just walk furthur away )
good for close-ups (the 1.8 is pretty damn sharp, equal to the 1.4) since you have the ability to crop

for the $ it's the best piece of Nikon glass available

we should have a "one lens for a month" comp. here
or for those only having zoom maybe limit the range, say 45-55 or something if they aren't able to restrict their equipment that precisely

when i go walking, sal....i spend 80% of the time on the ground picking myself up. you would be surprised at whats on/in the ground...the min. distance for this lens is .75' so i get nice close shots. the manual focus and no zoom is strange to get used too. so is the f1.8....my other lenses dont go below f4.

i guess its alot of about personal preference but in my opinion, a 50mm prime is very limiting when you are "walking around" and taking shots. a 17-50 or 24-70 lens, basically a one with zoom capability, gives you much more flexibility and control over shooting over a flex focal range.
