Cool July Photo Challenge

JULY PHOTO CHALLENGE
Essentially, a topic is chosen, and pictures can be taken based on that theme and any interpretation of it. Please keep it PG13.

Submitted photos will be posted, and at the end of the month, votes will be cast and a winner will be chosen.

The winner of the current month will then get to choose the theme for the following month.

This month's topic/theme is "STEEL", as chosen by June's winner, nigmafrost.
(Although this was the topic for March 2008, as noted in the "Hall of Fame", it has been chosen again.)

- all entries must be submitted between July 1st and 25th
- voting will run from July 26th to 30th
- please post all submissions in this thread only

Enjoy!

STANDARD RULES APPLY:
1) Pictures should be taken between July 1st and July 25th.
2) Maximum of 2 entries per person.
3) Each photo should be an original that has been taken by the individual entering the challenge.
4) Maximum width for each picture is 1000 pixels.

Went to a metal scrapyard place to try and get some photos earlier on. Needed a hardhat and steel-toed boots before letting me on the premises, and since I wasn't prepared with them, wasn't able to get close enough. However, all the workers and the truckers going by were very nice and tried to help me.

Would have had some really cool pictures if my idea had worked.
Time for Plan B.

There would be all kinds of great photos at a scrap yard.

Did you get a lot of cat-calls, whistles and hoots from the truckers and workers?

Moi? Nooooooo. Everyone seemed really polite, and they called things out, but it wasn't anything rude, and just beeped their horns to be friendly and waved.
I may have to try a different scrap yard if I get the opportunity, and be prepared this time...and maybe go on a Sunday, when it might not be as busy.

Hahahahahahaha...so you'd be yelling that out, would you, Daniel?
(For some reason, I can hear that distinct voice! ) That would indeed make me laugh, not just smile.
Hope I can follow through with the ideas talked about. They sound good in theory, anyway.

Stoney Creek! Let me guess =P!

Near Millen Road and South Service Road right? I know that plant, its right beside the Canada Post where my dad works!

I live right near there! On Fruitland and North Service Road =P!

Do you live there also!?
