Can you guess?

The photo posted below shows an interesting perspective. It shows a rock with a blurred background and thats about it. So the question is....

WHAT IS YOUR GUESS ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE ROCK?

judging by how extreme the background is blurred, i would say your shooting the object about 3 inches from your lens, and the size of the stone is likely the size of a nickel?

something is fishy with the exif data...192mm, f5.6...that shallow depth of field? that aint right!

size of a baseball...i think the background is made to look blury. like a painted wall or something. i dont think i am conveying what i want. nice texture in that one though....is that a macro lens?

no giving away of any hint as yet. the pic came out of the box untouched and no editing was done whatsoever.

it's a smaller boulder, 50 lbs or so
macro mode, wide open ap
front is not dof it's that the lens is forward of focal plane

the picture shows the tip of one of these rocks....from about 10 feet away in wide open macro mode.

matt....u havent tried macro mode on your tele? or you dont have one...see nothing fishy
