I plan to use it on my trip that I leave for on sat. Just want some opinions or reviews on it.
or even better how to adjust settings to get the best in point and shoot.

i wonder why some ppl look for reviews or opinions after they have bought the product? lol...arent you supposed to do all that before you buy.
anyway...i dont think we have any regulars here who use sony. for reviews..i would recommend the following sites.
www.dpreview.com
www.fredmiranda.com
www.cnet.com
just for basics....take a look at settings that relate to ISO (sensitivity to light), flash (when to use when not to use), macro (the flower icon for closeups) etc. i have personally used Sony's H9 found it to be a very decent camera. also..this camera has a lot of digital zoom capability but i would advise against using too much of it for the simple fact that its not actual zoom. the camera simply crops into the photo while no optics move in on the subject.

i have a cyber shot. not a big fan of sony. just got my mom a basic canon point and shoot and it seems to be better than mine. i find with the cyber shots, you can't get any good quality pics unless you use a tripod. a lot of pics will turn out blurry...the blurriness won't show on the screen, but when you upload it onto your computer and see it on a bigger screen, you'll notice the blurriness.

Did mad shooting today and overall was very disappointed with it. I cant risk taking a camera on vacation and having them turn out like crap when I get back.

my mom has a cybershot and her pics are always really blurry. Its a DSC-W7, 7.2 mega pixels as well.
