I would so love to have a mid 80's Toyota Cressida, IIRC do a 1JZ swap and you got one cool old skool RWD luxury car w/ the option to drift or pimp...damn do they look pimp when dumped...

Curious how is the corolla Type S on power? I am under the impression that thing would be slower then a Civic...sorry but I am curious and uneducated about the motor of the Type S....

Type S? as in RSX Type S? There are no Type S in the Toyota world... just S or XRS

I believe all the Corolla S have the 1.8L 130hp motor, which unless you have a 5spd will not be as fast as you think.

The XRS depending on year has either the 1.8L 2ZZGE 170hp motor (05/06) OR the 2.4L 164hp motor (more torque than the 1.8L 2ZZGE motor though.)

I recently drove an '07 Corolla (rental car), and I was surprised to see that it still came with manual windows (!!!) but that it had an outside temperature gauge.

As for the ride itself, it was one of the worst cars I've driven in a long time. I don't know if it was the fact that it was a rental or what, but I didn't like the high driving position, the soft suspension, and all the rattles and bald tires.

Mine is stock ecu. Mild upgraded turbo, dp, exhaust, upgraded smic, and suspension. Im at 15psi. Made 250whp last year in ottawa at KVR. Nothing special. Turbo kit this coming winter I hope and eventually the aem ems. Total goal is 350whp with this 2. Now the Silver one is the BEAST! It is A guy from houston texas. I think last I heard he was 600whp on pump and 800+ whp on race gas IIRC. It has such an amazing sound at idle. and Really unique at WOT. Its a custom made (by him) 4" Aluminum exhaust right from the turbo.
