New member needing some help

Hi.
My name is Zeke and I have owned my 2002 Civic LX now for just over a year. Im currently a college student and I am looking to give my car a lot of TLC this spring, so what better way than jump on here to gain knowledge. I may need a little help as I do not want to spend a lot of money as most of it goes to my schooling however I need to get my car right.

I am in need of various parts such as:
>17" rims and tires (preferably black with chrome dish)
>cold air intake (manual transmission)
>short throw shifter
>strut bars
>Trunk/fuel door release cable,
>interior drivers door panel (2 door with power windows)
>A/C compressor

If you have any of these parts can you please let me know. I will try to stay up to date with this however, it is my first time using a forum so it maybe slow.

Also, does anybody know why my SRS light would come on along with my check engine light.

Thanks

Rims, intake and strut bars possible others, watch the classifieds for used stuff, the trunk cable go buy a new one at the dealer and install it yourself, you need a few basic hand tools wire cutters and a roll of good tape (electrial or duct) disconnect the cable at both ends, carefully remove the plastic trim from the rocker cover and around the fuel/trunk release and if needed (like you get stuck) find the one bolt under the shoulder of the rear seat (10mm socket) and pull that out, PITA putting that back in but you gotta do what you gotta do. Then go back to the trunk and cut the cable before the splitter and tape it to the release end of the new cable and then go back to the release and start pulling carefully slow and steady and you'll pull the new cable right into place. try pushing it back and forth if it sticks, and when you tape it try to make it cone shaped to avoid hang-ups. You'll need to remove the interior panels of the trunk on the drivers side and maybe the trunk itself if it had one, I don't think it does.

The door panel and AC compressor, try to find those at junk yards, the door panel you can change yourself, just pry careful after your sure all the screws are removed. Start at the bottom and work around the side to the top. You may need to pop off the tweeter from near the mirror, there is probably a screw or two around the door release and if your pulling and the door still seems to not wanna let go in the middle there is a screw in the notch if the handle but there could be another under the panel for the window switches. A flathead and a star should be all you need for this part.

The AC, take it to a shop that does AC work. Sorry but unless you have an AC machine, you can't empty/fill your system anyway.
