Intro w/ some questions

Hey all, my names Rob and I'm looking to get a Civic. I've got a RX8 as of now which does NOT do winter unless sliding towards every telephone pole is what you're looking for.

Basically I'm curious to what the best year of Civics are (Coupe, not HB). It will be used for this winter and then I'm planning on working on it and going FI. I need the bare minimum (but best engine to mod).

Is a budget of $1400 decent for a bone stock 90s that will safety & e-test? Some rust is no big deal.

Thanks a lot.

for 1400 you are going to have to choose an eg coupe.

I personally like the ek coupe more but 1400 is a little bit tigh if you want to find something an ek that wont leave in the middle of the road

Perfect, thanks guys. Some body work is no problem for me as long as it's good enough to certify at least this 1 time before I get working on it.

Finding any vehicle for $1400 with a good engine/trans is kindof difficult these days.

I'm sure if you search hard enough though, you'll find a decent 92-00 coupe that only needs a bit of work.
