HI

Hi everyone i just sold my 05 toyota celica today so i'm looking for a 2001-2005 honda civic si sedan and was hoping if anyone could tell me anything about the civic that i should be aware of when buying. also should i avoid buying any year of the car because of common problems like oil consumption or anything?(for example 00-02 toyota celica gt were known for oil consumption any year of the civic have problems like this) Any tips would be great thanks.

Welcome Bicky!

I believe the only issue you'll face is the 01 model, the transmission was known to fail. Other than that, its a reliable car, I myself just sold my 02 Si.

You looking for auto or manual?

Don't let the mileage bother you when looking at used hondas. Look for one that has been well taken care of/maintained.

Ahh, I have also been keeping my eye on the development of the new toyota FT-86 / scion FR-S...

Inexpensive light weight rwd coupes are a rare bird these days. I hope this turns out to be a good one.
