Hey TTC, My names Ryan, I just bought my second car, a 1992 Honda Civic DX. I finally decided I didn't like my truck anymore, and after a lot of issues with my ex-gf, I decided to find something else and came across this car. It has 107,000km on it, I paid 800$. I don't live in Toronto, I'm about 6-8 hours away but I decided to join here, I've been lurking for a couple days now, and decided to post an intro. Here's the car.

An older Italian lady drove it, under coated every year, oil was just changed along with the timing belt last year. Need's some wheel well work, I need to redo the brake lines, front axle swap, windshield, battery bracket, just some small stuff. I'm doing at my uncle's shop for cost, I'm looking at 400$ + the windshield, which isn't bad at all. I wish it was a stick though.:ohwell:

In some ways I'm going to miss my truck, but the pro's out way to cons, I've had a lot of problems with my truck, and I was sick of things like this;http://www.torontocivics.com/attachm...ine=1313727516
I'd get out of work almost nightly with things like this. She also threw something at my truck that night, which pissed me off, on my way home I hit a deer, which just made everything so much better. I'm glad she won't know what I drive for awhile.

I can't wait to see what this car brings me, I've got lots of plans, it will be a slow build though, as I'm 17 and make minimum wage. I sold my truck, I drop it off to it's new owner tomorrow, here's my last picture of her, which is okay, I already love my civic more then I did the truck.:D

It was a 2wd, I did have plan's to slam it, just every week something else broke and I was throwing money into the toilet. I dropped it off today to the new owner, made me kind of sad, but I know I'll cheer up once I get the civic on the road.

oh okay, my dad had one 4wd. never had mechanical issues with it, just the floor boad and rockers started to rust out like crazy. what are your plans for the civic?

Not too much, getting it on the road. Once it's on the road, I need to fix the wheel well's, my uncle's going to let it slide for the safety but he told me to fix them right away, de-badging it as soon as it's on the road (I'll have to fill holes right?) New paint, I hope before winter hits, or early spring, going to keep it teal. Orange wheels, going to paint the wiper blade arms orange as well. That's pretty much it, unless I think of more, I pulled my stereo out of my truck along with speakers, those are going in along with a 12in sub my buddy's dad it hooking me up with, I'm sure I'll do more, after this winter I'm going to save up and buy a winter beater, so if when I paint it I don't have to run it through the salt and **** here.

EDIT;
I also want to install an alarm + remote start, I was thinking Viper, theres a pretty reputable shop in town called Car Trek that installs them, them or future shop. I have no idea what I want though, I've never had an alarm and I've never looked into them.
