Iced Tea Anyone?

So... i open up one of these a few weeks back.. and it tasted a lil weird... see pics... i would've posted earlier, but i was waiting for a call back from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency before i posted this info.

Note: the CFIA wanted one of the bottles, and Tetley will be taking one also.

Originally (one of these bottles is COMPLETELY SEALED!!!

2-3 weeks later, whatever crap-slime is in there grew about 3 times its original size. this bottle was opened, but untouched since i discovered this nasty crap (taken Feb 25th 2009)

no actually. but they were quite keen on getting that sample back. Maybe i wont release it until the CFIA gets back to me on what it is.

^^ That is good idea. Did they ask for the production code?

So that they will know when it made and which production line it was made at.

That is nasty. I would have freaked upon that discovery.

How many bottles are like that?

Oh yeah ok. i was thought there was something else about the production codes or something hahaha.

hmm we bought 4 bottles, drank one immediately. then 2 weeks later i found 2 bottles like this, and the last bottle is ok, but its starting to get merky.

I used to see this but with metal contaminate (i worked as a metal detector tech for food industry). Whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING! If you want something outta it take it for testing and see what it really is in it, get a lawyer then go from there!

k thanks. the CFIA wanted the sealed sample. i thnk i'll just give him the open one and say i might pursue legal action.

Tetley was quite keen on getting their hands on it. so i'll call them and tell them i'll wait till i get a sample tested first.
