Air ride broke down (Pics) in mississauga
After getting off the highway and pulling into a parking lot, i heard a snap in the rear back, i tried pressin the buttons and i hear air leaking out and i got out to check, the strut was completely broken. the was was stayin up by the tire.
I just got the air ride kit a month ago. i ordered a replacement strut. Im waiting for Air Lift company to inspect it, pending Warranty replacement.
I flatbed towed it from mississauga to scarborough, $90. which aint bad at all.
It was hardddd putting it up on the flat bed cuz the back bumper was about a finger gap from the ground. We had to use lots of wooden pieces, and when we took the car off the tow truck we had to use car impound lot trollies they use on stolen recovered cars to move the back of the car.
Pics below
ill post pics of the broken strut later. im lucky it didnt blow while i was on the highway

Bad luck man. but from what I heard, Air Lift has a good warrenty and will replace it. did you get this kit installed at AAC?.
I know what its like to blow one out on the highway. its pretty scary.

not the first time I've heard of an air ride snapping. often ppl aren't as lucky and they usually end up totalling their cars (breaks while driving). that's why air rides are not generally DOT approved.

it is ILLEGAL to drive and work the switches at the same time or to stop at a red light and start flippin some switches tho. that would be a dangerous driving charge and unsafe car charge.
thats why you should always have your switch box hooked up to a switch that cuts power to the to it, just incase it falls on the floor.
HOLY ****. I miss my air ride already.
