werd... the guy spends all that money building a "500hp ek".. but wont spend the extra money on quality rims.. especially for track too.

Also, never cheap out on brakes and tires. =)

Should have only built a 350hp EK and spent more on wheels...and possibly some better tires like Falken 615k's

Classic example of not knowing enough about a situation.

The driver of this car had a loose caliper which was hitting the spokes during the event, hence the 'warped' spokes.

Any rim will do this if it's exposed to the same issue.

also, I'm guessing the guy took pics of 2 different rims to show "before" and "after". Not only did he use the same wood table to put the tire on before the shot and also on a rainy day, but look at the wheel weights. What did he try to re-balance it after to fix it?

In the driver's defence, he probably took those pictures after his track day to illustrate the comparison since he could not have foreseen this happening. Since one of his rims was damaged and the others weren't, he made it easy by saying "before, after"
