Polished my OEM muffler ( crappy pics)

Hey guys I did a quick 30 min job on my muffler, not really a thorough job. Had a little spare time, i used what i had : 320grit, 400grit, 600grit, 1000grit, then Autosol metal polish, variable-speed buffer with wool pad starting at speed 1 for a bit to cut, then speed 2-3 to polish. Sorry the pics are crappy, weather wasn't the best either.
When i have more time, i'll do an even better job continuing on with 1500, 2000, and ending with 3M's Trizact 3000grit!!!!!! Then hit it again with the buffer.

why would you do that to an OEM muffler? now its gonna rust mad quick since u took all off all of the anodization to prevent rust

Hry Sal bro I've got so much small things in the works right now for my car we will meet up this season for shizzle!

Thanks again for the comments guys! I never knew this muffler was anodized! I always thought it was just stainless steel. Well It did have a fair amount of rust before. I am willing to creep under there every now and then to polish it, every now and then the rear suspension gets detailed anyway so no problem wiping down the muffler.

Hehe I try to work magic sometimes with my magic hands. It's more awkward than anything polishing the muffler, even getting your buffer undr the car. Would be a hell of alot easier on a hoist or on jackstands lifted and secured.

if its a stock muffler its made of anodized mild steel so now that its been polished that coating is gone and leaves the steel vulnerable to the elements more so than before...
