I went today to a local car show with the GF cause her work wanted her to do a story on it and for once I could take her to a car show, and she had to be there so I could enjoy myself and not feel like I was dragging her along!
Got her to send me some of the pics I wanted and thought I post some up to share!

It was a British car show so I found the mandatory Rolls Royce.


However British or not I did manage to find some JDM for us!

I think this is just a kit car but either way it's a Lotus 7 powered by Toyota


Then I found this mini, though I had an engine pic to go along with the sweet trailer, but didn't it was a D15b that was converted from RHD to LHD only because the steering box was bloked by the diff part of the tranny and since Mini's come with all the holes for both already from factory, swapping it over wasn't that hard


I wasn't too upset that I didn't get a motor shot, because I did get a few of this Mini from Saskatchewan! B16 and half the weight of an EG!



Finally some nice pure land of the rising sun goodness. No limy stuff at all, just pure honda the way they intended it. (nice Si behind it too!)

My girl is a reporter for a newspaper out here called the Ladysmith Chronicle. I don't know if they post it online or just print only. I'll have to ask her. I do have a ton more photos but thought I just post up the Rolls and then any of the things that were related to our jdm'ness somehow. The Mini's with Honda swaps both started out as real Mini's. I was sure I had a pic of the D15b swap and I'm really sad I didn't cause I talked with the owner a while and while the B16 would be faster the D15 just looked at home there. He even used a stock civic half rad. The B was a kit he bought to stuff it all in there adn all he had to do was make a few cuts here and there, some were prolly hard to do (like cutting the intake manifold and shortening it and bending with couplers) but the D guy fully custom fabricated the sub frame and his engine bay was cleaner. even if you look at the rest of the car, his is nicer paint work and just a clean car, the b swap was kinda rough around the edges, which I like in a way, being that the guy drives the snot out of it but at the same time mad respect for the clean car also. I'll post up some of the other pics later.
