H22 in a EM2?? Yup!!

This is a car we built here in New Brunswick and just got it up and running today heres the link from Honda-Tech
My Build Thread - Honda-Tech

And here is a video of the car running today for the first time

As you can see in the video all the OEM gauges work.
As far as we know this is the first time this swap has ever been done in a 01-05 civic and defiantly the only one with 500+whp

Pretty badass man. Most people would prolly do a K swap with turbo in an EM, so good on you for being different.

Can't wait to see a video of it in action.

How hard was the swap? Was everything custom or could you mix and match parts to work?

Everything was custom, mounts, wiring, hoses, brackets, etc. About the only thing off the shelf was the axles. But we already had the swap, the rest was easy, and not much money was spent on the job, just a lot of hours and conversations and discussions about how to do things and get it done. Car was built in my garage at home, i have built many high horsepower cars for myself and others, and this was the most time consuming for sure.

Link to same vid on youtube, will post more as we get it tuned, and get some track time in.

H22's are SICK motors...you could redline this motor at the track all day long without any issues ...

I beg to differ.......They have weak cylinder walls. And I've seen my buddies have lots of issues with them not holding up after track abuse. .

People used to day that they arent any good for boost and that the cyl was were to thine.Thats before people started to prefect tuning and people used to pop motors left right and center.A guy from here in the maritimes had a stock motor pushing just over 400whp for over 3 years.
There wont be any sleeve issues with this motor since the bottom end is fully built.

Ive always liked the H don't get me wrong.
Bottom line any engine is better when its built from the ground up and built right.
