No complaints really. Both my 06 and 07 have the odd creak or rattle, but nothing that I cant live with. Both have been 100% reliable and neither has been effected by any of Honda's recalls or TSB notices except for a bad motor mount in the 06.

I have experienced none of the common problems that some people have had (tranny grinds, complaints of poor paint quality, interior plastics scratching easily). I use Amsoil MTF and I don't abuse the car or tranny. Both shift like butter once warm, but can be a bit notchy when cold for the first 5 minutes or so. The complaints of the poor paint quality are that it chips and scratches easily. IMO any car can chip or scratch easily under certain circumstances (during the winter or driven down gravel roads). Both of mine have a few stone chips, but they are daily drivers for me and I don't really care. Touch up paint works wonders. As for the interior, it does have a dull finish that can scuff/scratch easily, but I am careful and my 06 still looks brand new inside.

They are excellent handling and braking cars and they are quick enough for me. The K20 responds very well to mods if it's not fast enough for you.

I get about 550-600 k's a tank or mixed city/highway.

Fully loaded with a decent stereo and it is comfortable on a long drive. They are great in the snow too.

Any specific questions, feel free to ask.

thank you mike for your feedback. i was just over at halton honda this afternoon to talk some numbers and check out the si sedan in person. overall...it gives a very good first impression...the interior is very unique and the seats were also very comfy. the trunk space is good enough for a large stroller and the baby bag that we have to haul with us.

i have to take one for a test drive soon with my wife. she hasnt driven stick in about 6 years now but she will have to drive occassionally anyway cuz this will be a second car.

honda is offering very attractive rates too atm...1.5% for upto 60 months on lease and 2.9-3.9% for financing. the front and rear lip spoiler is kinda expensive at over 500 bucks each.

overall...i feel very excited but will have to wait for a bit and see what happens. i have to talk price again....this model is priced at 26,680 MSRP.

Who did you deal with there? There should be a guy there named Duy(sp) who I dealt with before when he was at Image. Asian guy with a red S2000. Maybe he can help you out more if you mention me.

My wife found the 6sp very easy to adapt to and now she syas she wont get naother car unless it comes with a 6sp. I had a regular sedan as a rental and I found it very spacious compared to the coupe. If you have a family, they are also a very safe car.

Accessories can be pricey, but maybe that can throw some stuff in for you. I got tints and the Honda all-season mats. There is always stuff for sale on the 8thgen forum too.

Here is some research for you...

First let me say that I don't have the Si, but rather the 07 EX sedan (the white one in this thread). I have had the car for 6 months, and I have to say that I am extremely happy with it.

I am coming from an EK hatch so I find the interior space a lot larger and more comfortable compared to the EK. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter so the rear seat is used for the baby seat, toys, and everything else that comes with having a toddler. Trunk space is quite large, and I am able to fit both the stroller and my daughter's bag leaving room even for groceries.

Fuel consumption is pretty decent. I have been averaging 6.9L/100km since buying the car. Most of my driving is done in the city and when on the highway, in heavy traffic so I can't complain at all about the fuel economy.

Mechanically the car has had no problems whatsoever. I totally concur with what Mike (DumbasSi mentioned above). Paint quality can be better, yes, but it's not as bad as some people make it sound.

As for buying one, if you would like, I can recommend the person where I got my last 3 cars from. He used to be a salesperson at one of the GTA dealerships, and now he is the manager at a newly opened dealership North of the city. Just PM me if you need any additional info.

Im going to say no. The contour of the skirts seems to stick out far to much to accomodate the mud guards.

Id definately recoomend the OEM all-weater floor mats. They are rubber and contour perfectly to the shape of the floor.

The HFP body kit is very nice, but kinda $$$ IMO. I would suggest the HFP suspension kit though. Matched springs and struts that are about 25% stiffer and lower the car about 1".

The fogs are very nice, but OEM replicas cab be found on the internet for between $100-$200.

Window tints are a nice addition that the dealer can easily add for nothing to your deal.

I might also have a connection to get the 17" HFP wheels for around $800. If you are interested, I can provide you with the sellers info. He is the parts manager at a local Acura dealer. Im considering a set for the wifes Si.

On the sedan you can't use the front mudguards for sure if you have the HFP sides installed. I am not sure about the rear mudguards.

I definitely agree with Mike on the OEM all-weather mats. I have them in my car and they are awesome.

Mike, I would be interested in the 17"" HFP wheels. Do you have the guy's info or is this a group buy of some sort?

Remember that guy Randy from the 8th gen meet? He is the parts mamager at the Acura dealership in St Catharines. He "was" selling the HFP/Acura wheels for a very decent price. $750 plus tax for a set. I'll see if he still has this deal going.

Oh man, your car looks very nice! I wish they had the 4DR Si back when I got mine b/c I would have really gotten one, instead of the EX.
