yeah one of the things I like out here in BC is the old cars you can find that are still decent shells. I hate the rims this car came with but until my turbo EG build is done I don't wanna spend anything I don't have to on this. I have a few things coming for this soon and I'm planning a dual webber carb kit on the d16a1 motor I'm getting along with the rest of the donor 88 teg I'm buying for parts like the brakes and parts needed for the swap, that will be work down the road though right now I'm focused on my d15 vtec turbo hatch.

I bought this car complete with this this extra in the trunk...

It's an extra d16a1 same as what's in the car now only with a harness already converted for a single carb civic, that originally had an EW motor in it, like my CRX above. Yes this teg is the donor car I picked up, the motor (after a small build including pistons, maybe cams and a set of dual DCOE 40's from weber) along with the front and rear brakes and front seats will all be getting swapped into the little CRX.

Build thread?

Thanks Sha! That means a lot coming from you! It was taken with a crappy point and shoot and the saddest part is all the littler on the side of the road is nothing compared to all the illegally dumped garbage just over the crest that you can't see in this photo. Even the muddy hill I climbed to get the angle seemed like it was squeaky clean compared to it. I should have photo shopped that stuff out or something.

Few new ones, now that I've decided to try and go DD on the Civic and put my efforts into the CRX, I did a few small mods for now to hold me over till I can get the motor swap ready for install.

New Grant wheel and back side of some new seats

Scrap yard gold! Found these EF Si seats and got a crazy good deal on them. Cookstown for the win! took a few hours to fit but love not having foam sticking out all over, added bolster is nice too!

After selling off the ugly Motoform rims and rocking steelies for a while I have some project rims to polish soon. LS meshies. Don't look great yet but soon I think they'll go nice on this car or my Civic if I find something else for the CRX later.

those are some vintage plates!

I've basically been gone for a while but still working on my cars. The CRX is stored till I can go all out and do it proper, tho I do buy parts for it from time to time when I come across a good deal on stuff I know I'll need for it later. Mean time, like most here it seems, I no longer have an actual Civic. After just over 620,xxx km's, my Civic decided to start tearing it self apart. The firewall, roof cap and hatch all started leaking at the seams within a few months of each other, that and the hidden and not so hidden rust I decided it was time to retire my 1st car.

Many parts of it live on tho. Some stuff is in my teg that replaced the old EH3. Lots of stuff ended up in/on my friends CX, like the rear disks, front and rear bumpers, hood, hood bra and soon the entire interior will be installed including the RSX rears I retro fit to go along with the C pillar bar and MOMO wheel that now resides in his car. If he'd bought my SiR cluster and had a sunroof and the boost/wideband gauges I had...

But here's the new car as it sits right now...

And cause I can never leave an interior stock, this is summer mode, winter I swap to a retro fit 91 Lude wheel and 87 CRX shift ****. I like to use parts from other honda's to get the interior the way I like. 96 Lude CD player, 94 JDM Lude blue cloth seats, Grant wood grain, Speedstar extended B&M short shifter and sk2 ****, 92 DB2 GSR cluster...

The cluster is to go along with another Honda hybrid style retro fit, a little more common, this will be going on top of the B20b under my hood right now.

with the help of...

Tho as much as I love my new setup and it's only getting better I still miss this like crazy

The sound this car made, the look of confusion on unsuspecting faces of people who know nothing of people, the approving stare of those who did know that sound wasn't something wrong, but something very right...

First start up, private property, closed course stuff.... try to ignore my highly excited apprentice, and the really bad celli cam work

yeah considering I picked it up about a year ago, spent 3 months working on it when I could. Put it on the road and was rear ended 3 days later.

Got the car pretty cheap cause the head was leaking at the valve seals pretty bad, I get B20b's for $400 with 90 day and do swaps and tuning myself so other then the time to do it I even used a lot of the old suspension from my Civic. Traded the JRSC for these rims and the tires were what was on my Civic as well.

And a Tunerview RD1 to help me keep things in check

That's what I've been up to this summer. Now to get back to parts collecting for next seasons mods.
