Acura EL rear bumper on my 96' SI

Hey guys, I might be the first one in Ontario, and even USA to have Acura EL rear bumper on a 96' SI. I've seen a 98 SI from british colombia sporting one of these bumpers featured in Honda-Tuning magazine.

I also decided to mount my new wheels on in the rear. i am awaiting a shipement for my front wheels to arrive.

looks good but i cant believe you jacked your car up on a downslope like that.

What if the jack decided to slide down a tad due to weight, wetness, ANYTHING?

damn.....

Looks good man!

I like the EL bumper alot, only problem is that there is no rear lip for it. If you want to put a rear lip, your going to have to swap it back with your old bumper.

And yeah, your crazy for having your car on jacks downslope lol.

Thanks a bunch for the comments!! Actually iv'e been told the 96-98 civic rear lip will fit the same Acura EL rear bumper. Just as the 96-98 civic front lip will fit an EL front bumper.

No plans for a lip, I don't want to hide much of my rear suspension I love to let it show.

To my amazement the bumper fit without any modifications whatsoever! Completley interchangable.

Oh yeah about the driveway downslope, i wanted all the dirt to slide down the driveway since i decided to power wash all dirt, rock, debris from re-bar, bumper mounting area, wheel wells and suspension. I had the morning to throw the bumper on and do all this, then go to work. I should use jackstands next time and stay on staright pavement. Thanks again guys!

Looks good, but I am not sure if it's worth the work. Unless the damn thing fits w/o any mods, I would not attempt doing it.

rear lips from 96-98 civics do not fit the el rear bumper
only 1 lip fits it without massive mods and thats the mugen style rear half bumper lip sold at bc auto. the rear bumper is 100 percent interchangable without mods and the rear bumper mod has been done 100's of times before in the past 10 years. nice muffler and the car is looking good.
