2009 Civic Type R - Updates

Three new colors for 2009. Black, Pearl White and Metallic Purple (similar to old gen integras and civics). the round tails are gone...they are hexagon now....you will see them soon on the 2009 csx models.

the black looks sick......

I like it. I hope Acura will not drop the CSX and that we will continue to see a JDM Civic here in Canada. I know it's not the Type R, but at least it's something they don't have in the States.

did you know that honda had plans to drop the csx altogether for 2009 but didnt at the last minute. the sales have been terrible since the 8th gen civics plus SIs came out. i wont be surprised at all if it goes in a year or two

I knew from a guy who works for Acura, but I can't say that I was surprised to find out that they wanted to drop the CSX. I honestly don't know what Acura is thinking by offering the CSX in Canada for waaay more than the Civic, even though it's essentially the same car.

When I was looking for my EX, I looked at the CSX too, and I just couldn't believe how much they were asking for it, and for nothing extra.

At the time the Si sedan was not offered in Canada, so at least I understood why they Type S was so much more, but comparing the basic CSX with the EX Civic, I couldn't really justify paying almost 4 grand more for the CSX. No wonder they didn't sell well.
