My dealer was one of the first in the area to get one. New grill, headlights and bumper, Fogs are standard now. New wheels and 2 new colours, an orange and a blue. VSA and digital interface standard now too.

If you think that's bad though, you should see how much the CSX TypeS goes for. Last i checked, the price for one of those is $33,400CAD before taxes and stuff.
You wonder why they axed that car from the Acura line up!

the type-s brand at acura is alot mismanaged in my opinion. i dont understand its positioning at all. the tl-s is out already and csx-s has a strong chance of getting dropped soon. while price was definitely a factor....the launch of the new civic si (si sedan more specifically) leaves a very very small and unprofitable market for the csx-s.
for high revving sub compact hondas, civic si is where its all at. rsx was taken away for the same reason...and i wont be surprised if the csx-s will go too.

In terms of the 09 SI, the price looks awfully steep for what you get. I also assume that's the cost without the bells and whistles. Way too much.

^^ the price is the same as previous year models...i paid the same for my 08 and as i said before, when you say 'way too much'...what do you mean by it? it can be either of the following:
1. its expensive and you cant afford it
2. its expensive compared to its competition within canada
3. its expensive compared to US market
#3 is irrelevant....#2 is false....so the right answer is:
1. its expensive and you cant afford it
2. its expensive compared to its competition within canada
3. its expensive compared to US market

30g's for a SI is where it should be?
People that bitch about the price can't afford it.
Besides the new SI is hotness I love the fact that it comes stock with the foglights.
An option they should have had since the start. Not to mention the stock rims look better then those daisy looking ones on the release.

Over priced for what you get? What else can you get that is comparable for the price? Nothing. The Si comes fully loaded with several options its competitors dont even offer. A GTI is more money and a Cobalt SS is a ugly rental car turd aside from its performance.
Considering the average price of a new car in Canada is around 25g's, an Si is a perfomance bargain and it comes with Honda quality, reliability and engineering.
The WRX is about 6g's more.
I've had 2 Si's now and the thought of even buying another different car hasn't even crossed my mind.

the new mustangs and challengers start at about 25k.. i know its a different market but still... who doesnt love the rumble of those cars? yes i wouldnt drive these cars all year round but i would think i'd spend more for a performance car than a daily driver...

I'll take an SI anyday over that sht.....not to mention the SI is reasonable on gas.

well.. according to honda.ca the Sis start at 26k.. and assuming this 33k is with options... you can get a v8 challenger or mustang for bout 34k 35k... but ya.. it depends on what you want in the car i guess. but yea.. theres my 2 cents..
