What's a reasonable price for civic exhaust manifold repair?

I have a 99 Civic Ex 4dr and need to get the exhaust manifold replaced. I think the cat is part of the manifold so that plus the 2 oxygen sensors as well. I was quoted around $1100.00 for the whole job. Good price or not? Thanks

You don't need to replace the O2 sensors. Just the manifold. $1100 is WAY over priced.

Since it's an EX it should have a D16Y8 vtec engine which does not have the cat as part of the manifold. If it does have the D16Y7 non-vtec engine, then you do have the manifold with the cat. A quick look under the hood should confirm this. If you are unsure, just google image d16y7 and d16y8 exhaust manifolds to see the difference.

What is wrong with your current manifold? Is it cracked or ?

I have the D16y7 and the manifold is cracked. Any suggestions on where I could take it to get fixed and not get fleeced? Thanks

Some shops might be able to weld it up for you but that won't last too long. Your best option is to replace it with a manifold from a wreckers or an aftermarket unit.
