weird noise?!?!?

I've got some really awkward noise and steering wheel vibration coming from the front passenger's side wheel well. It sounds like a clunking noise and varies in audible at different speeds. It sounds like a broken drive shaft but can't be. At first it began really subtly on the highway on friday evening. Then 15 minutes later it was unbearable. The steering wheel was vibrating like a paint shaker and the noise was more prevalent. The actual steering was fine, the car didn't pull to either side when braking, and their was not a sound when the car was just idling. I pulled over immediately and thoroughly inspected the engine bay and wheel well, but couldnt figure it out.

Anyways hopefully someone can help me out. Here are my car's specs: 2002 acura el (d17a2) with 115,000 kms.

The car has the following mods:
vibrant muffler
aem sri
neuspeed front tower strut
pioneer double din avh-3300bt
falken tires

The oil and transmission oil were changed about >1000 kms ago or a month ago. On the way home from the mechanic that day I realized a really disgusting grinding noise, metal on metal, coming from the front passenger side. Before reaching the end of the street at the mechanics, I hooked a u-turn and went back. Unfortunately the noise was gone.

I have an audio clip if anyone wants to hear it. Maybe someone has had a similar problem. This ---- is annoying... I want to drive my car!! lol:sad:
