Washer fluid sensor on my 98 1.6 EL

I have a 98 Acura EL and the washer fluid low light remains on. I used the handy search function and it confirmed what I had already thought. The sensor is broken. Now I dont REALLY need this sensor (not atleast until winter) and even so I dont think its worth $65.75 that Acura wants. I usually top up my fluids during oil changes anyways.

Everyone said i could just "pull the bulb" but how would I go abouts doing that? Would I have to open the cluster?

Is there just a fuse I can pull? I really dont want to resort to the taxi cab method, that is putting electrical tape over it.

Thanks in advance for the help.

there is no fuse for that specific circuit. what you can do, however, is buy a whole new washer tank from the junkyard for prolly very cheap. that way you don't have to ghetto rig your car by pulling the bulb out.

if you do decide to ghetto rig it, then remove the two phillips screws at the top of the gauge bezel, then remove the knee panel under the steering wheel, then push the bezel clips out. this will reveal 4 more phillips screws to pull the cluster out, then you can remove the bulb as desired.
