tune up....

looking to get an idea on the best stuff to purchase for my upcomming tune up....

im going to be doing a lot to the engine maintaince wise

getting oem parts from honda including:

T-Belt
W-Pump
Fuel FIlter
Cap + Rotor
PCV

now for the spark plugs and wires, should i go with oem honda parts?? or can someone recommend something better

i have a B16A2, full I/H/E

any info will be greatly appreciated

If you are using mostly OEM parts for tune-up, there is no point in using aftermarket for plugs and wires. Though you could use NGK plugs and wires, which are essentially supplier for OEM Honda, but might as well go OEM.

would you reccomend anything i should go with thats aftermarket??

Nova_Dust 18-Sep-2006 03:03 PM

NGK (again, same thing as OEM), Nology (with extra grounding wire for plug wires), Spoon (just bling, same type as Nology but I don't see the point), MSD.

I bought OEM plugs and plug wire was another thing on my tune-up list for this year but I haven't bought any and am still looking into it.

Give this a read.

good read, thanks Charles

I am more towards MSD myself.

you didnt replace the tb/wp when you swapped the motor in?

anyways.. go with OEM for everything. I would also take a look at your air filter, might as well do an oil change if its almost time anyways. When you pull your plugs take a good look at them.. make sure everything is running properly in your b16.
