Strange Squeak from front passenger side when reversing

So I just thought i'd throw this out here to see what responses i'll get...

I recently have been doing a bunch of diy work at home on the car and having lots of fun learning. I have to thank everyone who ever wrote a detailed write up and posted it online for other diy'ers. I will say though... most diy write ups assume that everything will go smoothly, and from my experience... nothing ever does. A cv shaft replacement a few days ago turned into a whole lower control arm, strut and cv shaft replacement because the pin connecting the lca and the strut became one with the rubber making it impossible to get out. Anywho... I have another issue that i haven't yet looked into but i plan on doing it this weekend.

So everytime i reverse out of a parking spot I hear this squeaking/squeeling coming from the right side. Doesn't seem to get worse or go away if i turn in one direction or the other. It also doesn't really get affected whether i'm going slow or gassing in reverse. It also doesn't squeak or squeel once i start going forward... Any ideas? I'm guessing something to do with brakes... And I'm hoping it's not a wheel bearing.

if your stopped and hear a squeek while moving the steering wheel, its your ball joint

if the noise is ONLY when the wheels are moving, it's probably the brakes.

yeah so after taking off the wheels to fix my drive shafts... the culprit was... the rusty brake shield. was becoming deformed and was rubbing against my rotor. just ripped a chunk of it off and presto! Just thought i'd update.
