Small problem with Washer Fluid Indicator
Was low on washer fluid for awhile and was too lazy to fill it up. Now even though I topped her up with fluid, the "low Washer Fluid" light still comes on. Does anyone know the reason behind this? Is there a fuse or something that I can pull to reset it? Or perhaps something I can do to get the sensor working properly again? Not really sure how the sensor works, so any input would be appreciated.

it's common for 96-00 civics you need to replace the level warning piece it,s at the bottom of the washer canaster.

take the bulb out and call it a day...like who needs a low level washer fluid light? lol
|
Thats a reminder to all you guys out there to keep your washer AND blinker fluid topped up.

:( lol that's why you get for being lazy I guess. Is there a drain plug or something at the bottom of the cannister that I can reach it through? Because I higly doubt I can get to it from the opening in the top.
But thanks for the info Imported! |
I have a 2000 sig and my light also stays on, if u wanna fix it replace the sensor , Honda said its around 75$ for the part. Im just gunna take out the bulb.

 blinker fluid? you just reminded me.... where can i buy OEM blinker fluid, and will it improve my gas efficiency?
yeah just take out the bulb, or maybe go to the wreckers and see if you can get a whole unit off a wreck... |
Yup I can get the sensor for $55 but still, not really worth it. I might as well try to go to the wreckers. Do you have to replace the whole unit or can you actually get to it and just replace the sensor?
