SeaFoam Safe?

SeaFoam Safe?
Hey,
Well ive read the DIY seafoam thread and ive pretty much got the gist of how to do it. I was just wondering if its safe to do on a 98 Civic with a 146 K? I just bought the car but read that it could start burning oil after the sea foam. Is it worth the risk of doing? Is there anything else I should know?
Thanks
Jeff

theres a whole thread about this a few threads down. not trying to be mean but search first for future questions! as for what you're asking, go for it. i seafoamed my car at 285xxxkms or something like that and it ran better than when i first bought it at like 26xxxxkms. as for oil burning, they say that could happen because it clears out the carbon around the rings and lets oil by or something like that. i didn't care i went ahead and did it anyways. if it's your first time it wont smoke that much but once you do it a second time it will smoke like a biatch. i didn't notice any oil burning after i seafoamed my car. i've done it about 3 times now. i always do it a few days before an oil change. i run the seafoam through the car, then a few days i change the oil and the spark plugs because it can get your spark plugs real dirty.
