problem starting 1989 civic si
trouble starting my 1989 civic si. sometimes when i got to start it the engine will turn fast as if it is about to startbut it wont start and sometimes when i get it to start the rpm would rise up to about 2000 then drop and cut off i just want to know what this problem could be

main relay no question.
or the dizzy crtank angle sensor will also do the 2000 rpm thing.

Firing order?

My car did the same thing, try the firing order, i thought it was the main relay too, check it up yo

could also have something to do with vacuum to the engine
