Question OBD II tool

I have a 2011 Civic SE and love very much. I also own a 2000 TDI Jetta. I can use a OBDII scanner when I get a CEL light on my Jetta. So today I looked for the OBDII plugin on my new Civic. I cannot find it.

Can someone tell me where it is hidden on the car for when I need it IN the distant future when I get a MIL light?

Forgot to add.

I done a search and found out about the wire under the dash on the passenger side. That cannot be on the 2011, is it?

Thanks for the reply. It's on the left side of the steering wheel in the Jetta. I'll check on the right right of the Civic.

Thanks again
