maintenance req'd light?
 

sup ppl,

i picked up an 05 civic LX coupe back in november 2004, and registered with TCC a while back but havent had a chance to post til now.
:) i got a question...my car's at 13,000km now, but i noticed a few days ago that when i started it up, the "MAINTENANCE REQUIRED" light came on. it flashed 10 times, then went off. i took it around the block, checked for any strange sounds, checked all fluids, and there was nothin out of the ordinary. can anyone provide any insight into this? much appreciated thanks

changed at 8,000, next change is at 16,000

i WOULD change every 5,000 but i gotta follow honda's "maintenance schedule" so my warranty doesnt get voided :crazy:

The light comes on after you hit a certain amount of kms…. You can reset it if you want… it takes a minute.

1.put the key into the ignition
2.hold on to the reset button that comes out next to your speedometer
3.turn the key twice so that everything comes on but the car didn’t start (holding the reset button)
4.wait till the light turns off and then let go.
