How Do I Adjust the Clutch Cable?

Cable Clutch
S1 tranny on B16A.

My clutch "catches" very early. Meaning: with the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, only bringing it up about 1" would catch 1st gear and so on...

My brother's car is the opposite, his catches right near the end of letting go of the clutch pedal.

I want to adjust it so that it catches in the middle somewhere.

I apologize for not knowing the correct term, and I hope some of you know what I am talking about.

Thanks.

NO THERE ARENT

please stop spreading false information, Hydro clutches are self adjusting, and if you have a spongy pedal it is with parts of the hydualic system.

I am not familliar with hydro setups, but i know for a fact they are self adjusting.

Since when do you have to adjust your standard breaking system on a car when they get low?

You adjust you Ebrake on some styles because its a CABLE !!

page 12-4 of the helms manual for a 92 to 95 civic ... they came with hydro clutch pedals... and wow look at that page clutch free play adjustments... just like the page cynical mindset posted of the 4th gen civics there are slight differences but the pedal is adjustable like i stated...

I'll post a picture of the page once I get to work in the morning and wayfasthitie you are not impressing moderators of this board. also if your not familar with something then don't state you know facts on them. thats like me trying to tell a nuclear plant engineer how to run the nuclear plant... and yes on brake systems they have the same pedal free play adjustments. which of the 5th gen civic can be found on page 19-4 of the helms manual. once again thanks for coming out nice try but next time open a book and look it up you'll save yourself some embarassment.

Yeah you can adjust the pedal play...That can be done on cable trannys too, its different then adjusting the cable (which is soley what it thought we were discussing). But you cant adjust the engagment point...... That is done automaticaly unlike the cable style.

Thankyou.

BTW this place has good classifieds!
