Help please!
 

I have a 2000 Civic SI
i just bought the car and a few things.. the drivers side door doesn't lock. it has power locks.. the passenger side locks but the driver side doesnt, also when i try to lock it from the outside with the key.. it doesn't turn to the left. when i push the button down then close the door it still doesn't lock!
please help!

Sounds as though your l/f door latch is seized. Does the interior door release handle work?

Yes the interior door handle works. its just the lock on the driver door doesn't.
even when i try to turn the key to the left( to lock) it doesn't turn. but turns to the right.

did u try holding the door handle open inside while flicking the lock switch?

yeah that was one of the first things i've tried.
im really hoping its not that hard to fix. i dont want to drive anywhere if my door doesn't lock

Pop the interior door panel off and spray the assembly with penetrating lube. Start working the lock and key in the door and see if it frees up.

PS. don't break the key off in the door...lol
