Engine pan screw tight how to get off?
 
Hey Guys!

I am tryin to do a oil change and my screw where my oil drains is on soo tight and i tried some wd40 aswell but I can't get it off to drail the oil..any suggestions....??

take 2 box end wrenches, a 17mm and a 19mm. put the closed box end of the wrench on the drain bolt, and then use the other wrench's box end to slip onto the open end of the one you just put on the bolt. now you have an extra long lever, and this will get it off without too much effort.

make sure you are loosening the bolt and not tightening it.....lol.
But yeah like ^^^^^ said get some leverage.

What's posted above works, but in my personal opinion, tight bolts like that usually just need a good whack, so put the wrench in, wrap a cloth and pull counterclockwise (to loosen) with some force, and grab a ruber mallet and whack on the other end of the wrench. Always works for me.

Use a big rachet. Like a 1/2 inch and a socket. It will come out very easy with a big rachet.
