Engine Light and bad gas mileage
 

Hello,

I hope I posted this correctly.

Lately I've been getting really bad gas mileage on my 2000 Honda Civic LX. It has 284,000 miles on it. The check engine light is on. I've spent close to 60-70$ Total During separate trips to the gas station this week alone. We are taking it into the shop. The gas pedal makes a funny type of whirring noise when I hit 65MPH on the highway. It also has a bumpy type feeling when it's stopped at a light. Any thoughts as to what is wrong?

gonna be a miss-fire code most likely. Why is as whole other story. Could be any number of problems and there will likely be other codes as well. Expect O2 and potentially ones relating to the distributor and it's parts.
