compression test results

just wondering what I should be expecting on my compression test on my b16a

#1 155
#2 120
#3 150
#4 160

so I noticed #2 was a little bit lower..
I did the test with all spark plugs out..and 5 cranks with the dizzy unplugged..
so just wondering causes for this...mostly piston rings? and headgausket? valves? any tests I can do to narrow it down?
thanks Chris

did u make sure to unplug the fuel pump fuse? or what about holding the throttle wide open while cranking? is the battery charged?

also, u gotta have da car up to operating temps, after u get your initial numbers, squirt some oil into the combustion chamber and repeat the test, depending on your results you can then do a leak down test

B16a compression pressure = 164.7 psi

you don't need to unplug the fuel pump fuse, unplugging the dizzy will make the injectors not fire.

Those numbers are pretty low all around. I mean most b16s I've ever compression tested run around 180-210psi.

Cylinder #2 is 30% lower than your highest cylinder (#4).

Could be piston rings or the valves.

Like mentioned above, a leakdown test can help narrow down the problem.

The numbers are pretty low.
I would have the compression test done again, and I would have a leakdown test performed. Hope everything works out.
