Changed Rear Break Drums, Now Vibrating Peddle Feeling
I jus recently change dmy old rusted out brake drums with new ones, when I brake now there is a vibration in my peddles, anyone know what this is and if it can be adjusted or fixed?

did you change the shoes along with the drums?
the shoes could have been warped to the shape of the old drums, now you might be getting uneven grab on the drum causing a vibration style feeling that would be my first thought otherwise maybe a bearing or the wheel was put on incorrectly (but you would feel this all the time, not just in breaking) so ya...i'm thinking option 1 |
ya i think the first thing is the one, are shoes hard and expensive to put on myself?? r should i jus leave it?
|
no i would recommend replacing the shoes since you've done the drums...they can be a little tricky, the whole system is made up of springs and little gadgets...so it will fall apart when you do to remove it...
you can replace them yourself, but make sure you've got a how-to (maybe a haynes or helms), and do them one side at a time, so you can reference one with the other other than that there are alot of guys on here that have done it, so if you have any problems while doing them just ask! good luck |
thanks man
