Car makes a click click sound 95 cx
I have a 95 cx hatch and on the drivers side there is a clicking noise from the front wheel well when I excel fast forward or backwards it only happens once when the car starts moving its not continuous.
I know I need new ball joints upper and lower but I don't think that would be from the ball joints maybe upper control arm has play in it?... any ideas? Thanks |
either upper control arm bushings are shot or wheel bearing...im leaning more toward wheel bearing tho..
can't say..but is the sound more like a grinding noise or just a tick...tickk..? and when you turn does the sound get louder or same thing? |
Wheel bearings don't "click" just makes a grinding sound. Could be the bushing or stablizer link. Best thing to do is throw it up on a hoist and check it out.

Also, if it happens during turns, it could be the CV joint... If it is, best thing to do is get a new axle...
|
I dont hear it when I turn, and its only a click click sound just once but there is a clunk sound if I go over a bump kinda fast. I was think about taking it to a shop, find out what needs work and do it at my house.

Sounds like the stablizer link to me..
