blower motor
 

hey all

lately my blower motor (98 civic h/b) has been making noises..louder on 3/4 and quiter but still rattles and clanks when on... heat is there and so is cold... i think thermostat is also going but.. i took the motor out today..emptied a bunch of twigs and leaves that were in there... its kinda quieter now but still makes noises...anyone know what else it could be? the resistor maybe but it still works on 1 and 2 so that should be fine...anyone? or is the motor toast?

You need a new blower motor. The bearings are making noise.

THe blower motor is ready to call it quits, happened to mine about 2 yrs ago, had purchased a used one off ebay for $80, very easy to replace. Good luck!
