5W30 to 10W30 ?

well i was wondering if i used 10w30 synethic for the winter from 5w30... will it be any better? Got a JDM ZC SOHC motor in my ef, and it's time for oil change right now.. was thinkin of changing to synethic and i got a couple bottles of Royal Purple full synethic 10w30 lying around.. wanted to use it or else it'll be a waste.. but my car usually uses 5w30.. though...

No, you do not run heavier weight oil in the winter.
